Dr. Johnson is a professor at Colorado State University in the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences. Over the last 30 years Dr. Johnson has performed extensive research and taught diverse areas of radiation safety, including environmental, uranium mining and non-ionizing.
David A. Connolly, a former staff person for Speaker of the House Rep. John A. Boehner (R-OH), was born in Brooklyn, New York. He received a BA in Political Science from Fordham University and a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School. Since 2004, Connolly has represented the Health Physics Society with the Congress, the White House, and Executive Agencies on issues of radiation safety, nuclear energy, radioactive waste disposal, medical isotopes, and University programs in the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Mark Somerville is the Director of Health Physics and Radiation Protection and Corporate Radiation Safety Office (RSO) at APTIM. For 16 years, the Health Physics department at APTIM, and its precursor companies have provided radiation protection program support to the environmental clean-up efforts at military installations, national laboratories, Manhattan project sites, nuclear power facilities, nuclear Navy vessels, and commercial facilities across the nation.
David Scherer is an Associate Teaching Professor of Physics and Director of the Health Physics Professional Master’s Program at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he leads the development of an accelerated degree program focused on modernizing the delivery of professional education.
Dr. Craig Little has 40 years of experience in radioecology and radiation protection. While at Colorado State University, Dr. Little did his graduate research in the grasslands surrounding the Rocky Flats Plant. Later, as a staff member of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Dr. Little worked on radiological issues for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
